2022 Competitions Review - HWJC Judo

Lots of mileage and weekends! The #powerreds have travelled nationally and internationally this year. The world is their oyster.
Our club launched the Bill Nobbs Memorial Team Championships with great success. Bill 's legacy will carry on in the years to come .
As always, the success and continuous progress is due to the dedication and commitment of the judo team, parents, staff and other volunteers who work together to enable and deliver these events to the judoka community.
2023 is a year of many more new projects for High Wycombe Judo. Watch the space....
- 8 international competitions that brought 3 Gold, 4 Silver and 2 Bronze medals to the club.
- 45 national events that saw many players winning medals or/and, in the absence of medals gained experience and confidence.
- New friendships

2nd July 2022 - British National Team Championships (Wolverhampton Sports Centre)
HWJC & GB HN Support Coach Sam Chraniuk had the privilege of coaching the BJA - Northern Home Counties Area Cadet and Junior boys team at the British National Team Championships 2022. The team, including HWJC judoka Jesse Chraniuk, won a fantastic GOLD defeating London 5:2 in the semi and Scotland 6:1 in the final. Joe Chraniuk also represented the NHC & HWJC in the Senior Men’s team and gained valuable experience. The team were unable to progress past the pool stage.

5th February 2022 - National Dan Gradings (HWJC)
6 fights, 6 wins from Joe Chraniuk and Marc Hunt today including their line ups at High Wycombe Judo Centre Dan Grading. Joe won his 3rd Dan just 3 weeks after winning his 2nd Dan and Marc won his 1st Dan at his first Grading since getting his 1st Kyu in Sept. Amazing performances and an incredible achievement for both. HWJC are very proud of you.
Well done also to Mel and Iain who gained points and to Tom for getting some positive scores. Congrats to Jacob who also won his Dan grade.
